Eduarda Baggio Paglia
Former Visiting Student
Eduarda is a Brazilian PhD candidate whose research focuses on engineering protein-based biointerfaces for sensing and cancer-related applications. Her work centers on the development of elastin-like protein (ELP) films capable of regulating tumor cell adhesion and exhibiting responsive behavior at electrochemical sensor interfaces. She designs and produces recombinant proteins to control material properties at the molecular level.
In parallel, she works with CRISPR-Cas12a diagnostic systems, contributing to the biological design of detection platforms. By integrating biomaterials, synthetic biology, and electrochemistry, her research aims to create adaptive and functional biosensing systems.
Beyond the laboratory, Eduarda enjoys practicing sports, reading, traveling, and spending time with friends.
